Assistant Professor Dr Adam Abdullah, IIUM Institute of Islamic Banking and Finance; Assistant Secretary, International Council of Islamic Finance Educators. Dr Adam specializes in Islamic economics and finance and has taught subjects that include Islamic economics, Islamic financial system and Islamic wealth management at both under-graduate and post-graduate levels. He is also a former practitioner in Islamic finance involving Islamic private equity investment and has also had an extensive career, at senior management level, in international trade and shipping. Dr Adam holds post-graduate diplomas in Islamic Studies and also Islamic Banking & Finance from IIUM. He also has a Masters and PhD from University Malaysia Terengganu in Islamic Economics (monetary economics).
